Welcome

Welcome to my online campaign headquarters.

We have the power to change New Mexico, but we can only do it together.

Together we can reduce the achievement gap in our schools. Together we can create high-wage jobs by investing in New Mexico’s people. Together we can reduce the number of those without healthcare and work to ensure that every New Mexico child is covered.

Day 6 of the ROUNDHOUSE ON THE ROAD Tour

Day 6 of the ROUNDHOUSE ON THE ROAD Tour

Today began with a trip to the Starbucks in Ruidoso. With my non-fat, no-whip mocha in hand, I started down the road to Capitan. It was a gorgeous drive through the pine-covered mountains.

Day 5 of the ROUNDHOUSE ON THE ROAD Tour

I got up early this morning so I could take a walk. I was up just in time to watch a beautiful New Mexico sunrise over the mountains. As the sun rose over Alamogordo, I walked into the Waffle and Pancakes Shoppe for some coffee and said hello to some Department of Transportation workers on their way in to work.

The morning drive up the mountain from Alamogordo to Cloudcroft was unbelievably scenic. It was truly great to be able to survey the area around me and to see the desert draped in green.

Day 3 of the ROUNDHOUSE ON THE ROAD Tour

Roswell:

I started the third day of this first road tour with an early morning radio interview at KCKN. We went to Martin's Capitol Café for a quick breakfast and then on to Pioneer Plaza for office hours in Roswell. Some people stopped by just to say hello, but many others raised serious concerns about veterans' affairs and local unemployment. Just before noon, we departed Roswell for Vaughn.

My Roundhouse on the Road tour began bright and early Tuesday morning. Although I was anxious to get on the road and meet with people, my first task was to get the word out. At 6:00 am I had early morning television and radio interviews to let people know we were on the way. Then we loaded up the bus and got on the road at about 6:30 am.
