A Message From Diane: Haiti Needs Our Help
Dear Friend,
You've probably seen the images on the news by now - devastation in Haiti beyond what most of us can comprehend.
This massive earthquake has left the Port-au-Prince region in ruins. The hospitals are overwhelmed, families have been torn apart, and as we speak, there are people still buried under the rubble - fighting for their lives.
America and the world have a moral obligation to help the people of Haiti. Right now, the American Red Cross is working non-stop to mobilize food and relief.
Here's how you can help the relief effort: Make a donation to the American Red Cross International Response Fund at www.redcross.org or by calling 1-800-REDCROSSS (1-800-733-2767). You can also help by texting "Haiti" to 90999 to send a $10 donation to the Red Cross, which will appear on your next phone bill.
As New Mexicans, we're known as a people with big hearts and a charitable spirit. When times are tough, we come together. During this tragic time, the people of Haiti are our brothers and sisters - and we must do what we can to help.
Herb and I made a contribution to the effort earlier this morning and I hope you'll join us in contributing what you can afford
Thank you,
Diane Denish
