A Message From Diane: Happy MLK Day!

"Everybody can be great... because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve … You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love."

- Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Dear Friends,

Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day!

Dr. King dedicated his life to serving a greater cause - civil rights and equality for all. To honor him and his accomplishments, we pause to reflect on his work and think about how we are serving our communities.

Today is as good a time as any to rededicate ourselves to the cause of serving others.

It doesn't matter whether it's for Barrett House in Albuquerque or at El Caldito Soup Kitchen in Las Cruces - any time you give is time spent changing someone else's life for the better.

Also on this day of service don't forget those who desperately need our help - the people of Haiti.

Here's how you can help the Haiti relief effort:  Make a donation to the American Red Cross International Response Fund at www.redcross.org or by calling 1-800-REDCROSS (1-800-733-2767).  You can also help by texting "Haiti" to 90999 to send a $10 donation to the Red Cross, which will appear on your next phone bill.

Thanks,

Diane Denish
