Standing Strong and Standing Together
This weekend I stood with 2,000 of my friends in a packed ballroom at Buffalo Thunder north of Santa Fe.
With one voice we said we are ready for a new way forward for New Mexico. That means a focus on creating jobs, a new commitment to New Mexico’s hard-working families and a new way of doing business in Santa Fe.
I was extremely proud and humbled to accept my party’s nomination for governor and I will not let you down. Check out my acceptance speech here.
This is going to be a tough campaign, no doubt about it.
My Republican opponents showed at their convention they are preparing to wage a campaign of baseless attacks on me and on what I stand for.
Well you know what? I’m not going to take their attacks sitting down and I’m going to fight like hell to make sure every voter in New Mexico knows what I stand for.
Helping our job creators cut red tape; keeping our taxes low and our standards high; transforming education to create a workforce capable of competing for high-wage, high tech jobs; and creating a culture where government is open, transparent and fully accountable to the people of our state.
That’s my vision and what I stand for.
I’m ready for the fight ahead. But I need you with me.
So please, do what you can. Follow me on Twitter at Diane_Denish, friend me on Facebook or sign up to volunteer at www.dianedenish.com.
The Republicans can only win by distorting my record and making baseless attacks on my character.
I’m also going to need the $25, $50, $100 or whatever you can give to fight back and get our message of a New Way Forward out to every corner of the state – so please donate at www.dianedenish.com/contribute.
I am proud to have you standing with me. Standing together we will forge a New Way Forward.
Thank you,
Diane
